The famed philanthropist, who has raised funds for countless charitable causes, has earned himself the nickname Tony Benefit among fans. Rags to Riches secured Bennett’s fame in the ’50s.
Bennett’s comeback in the ’80s and ’90s with tracks like Steppin Out’ and Perfectly Frank captivated all-new audiences. By the start of the 2000s, Bennett was still touring and hitting around a hundred shows a year. Even at 94, Bennett was still performing at the Nordoff Robbins Carol Service during December of 2020 to aid charity.
