Sophie Aldred is an English actress and television presenter brought up in Blackheath, London. Once she left school, she went to university in Manchester and studied drama. She is well-known for her role as the Seventh Doctor’s companion, Ace, in the iconic television series Doctor Who during the late ’80s.
The 56-year-old vegan has worked extensively in children’s television as a presenter. And as a voice artist, she has worked as the narrator of the novel Zed and the Cormorants. Aldred wed actor Vince Henderson in July 1997, and now, they share two sons.
