Laura Juliet Kuenssberg is an English journalist. She succeeded Nick Robinson as political affairs editor of the BBC in July 2015 and is the very first woman to take up the position. Kuenssberg plans to leave her post as political editor at Easter 2022. She previously was a chief political correspondent at the BBC and the first female economics editor of ITV News. She was also Newsnight’s chief political correspondent from February 2014 to July 2015.

Laura Kuenssberg’s pay was listed as £290,000 in 2021, according to the annual BBC High Earners Report.This was a $40,000 salary increment compared to the previous year.News of her possibly being transferred comes after the BBC editor has been under attack in recent months over allegations of bias.
