Born in Ghana, Ama K. Abebrese was raised in the United Kingdom. She has worked in both African and British media. Her work in Ghana includes an AMAA Award-winning performance in “Sinking Sands.” She won Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2011 for her role as Pabi, the wife of a man who becomes disfigured in an accident.
She was also a part of “Azali,” a film that made strides when it became Ghana’s first-ever selection for the Oscars. Her role in British media includes presenting for BBC2.
