Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright

Rio Ferdinand walked down the aisle a second time in September 2019, and a year later, he welcomed a son with his wife, Kate Wright. The three children he shared with Rebecca Ellison attended the big day alongside the couple’s close family and friends. 

Sadly, Ferdinand lost his first wife to breast cancer in 2015. He detailed her battle with the illness and the subsequent bereavement in Thinking Out Loud. The former center-back co-wrote the 2017 memoir in collaboration with Decca Aitkenhead. These days Ferdinand works for BT Sport as a TV pundit.
