Alex Ferguson and Cathy Holding
In 1964, Alex Ferguson, the former Manchester United boss, met Cathy Holding. Two years later, they walked down the aisle to solidify their union. They’ve since spent more than five decades together, and three sons complete their family.
Holding stayed by her husband’s side throughout his career, and in 2018 when hospitalized, she helped nurse him back to health. Ferguson had an emergency brain surgery in response to a hemorrhage, and he’s since recovered fully. Their son Jason directed a documentary released in 2021 titled Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In.
