His morbid fear of taking to the skies is the reason he’s referred to as the “Non-Flying Dutchman.” Sources suggest that the 1994 plane crash involving the Netherlands national team is the reason behind his Aviophobia.
He doesn’t fear commitment, and his marriage to Henrita Ruizendaal is now in its 27th year. They share four children; Saffron Rita, Estelle Deborah, Yasmin Naomi, and Mitchel Dennis. In 2021, their son Mitchel joined the Watford youth setup.
