Sneaking a Peek

Everyone dreamed of being part of a club in high school, and making the cheerleading squad was the ultimate status symbol. During our time, cheerleading was an exclusively female pursuit, but nowadays, boys can audition and join the team, putting outdated stereotypes to rest. One of the fan–favorite aspects of cheerleading was the stunts the athletes performed, especially the pyramid.

In this photograph, the female cheerleader is putting on an impressive display as the male cheerleader lifts her, and she seems entirely unaware of it. Alternatively, perhaps he’s checking to see if she’s stable and executing her routine correctly. In any case, we’re confident that they put on quite a show.
