Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin was a renowned naturalist, scientist, and geologist who authored “The Origin of the Species,” a book that has become one of the best-selling of all time. He spent years researching and came to the conclusion that all species shared a genetic origin and proposed the theory of natural selection.
Despite facing widespread criticism, including from the Church, Darwin’s theory eventually became accepted as a fundamental scientific fact, with DNA research supporting it and refuting religious claims. Darwin’s legacy as one of the most influential figures in human history will continue to live on, and it was honored by his burial in Westminster Abbey.
