Tsar Nicholas II
Nicholas II, the final Tsar of Russia, ruled from 1894 to 1917 and was executed at the age of 50. Upon his father’s passing, he ascended the throne but proved to be an incompetent ruler of the vast and sprawling Russian empire. Despite supporting economic and political reforms during his reign, he was committed to autocratic rule and faced strong aristocratic opposition.
His failure to effectively lead the Russian army during a significant war battle marked a turning point, causing both his ministers and the people to revolt against him. Following the war, he was forced to abdicate and placed under house arrest before ultimately meeting his demise.
