The Conception of Felicia
Since the horse was having so much difficulty delivering her foal, everyone needed to know how she conceived in the first place. Ben had to find a qualified professional to help with artificially inseminating Felicia. He finally found a professional, or at least someone that appeared to be one.
The man was available to take Ben’s request despite the short notice. He did his best, and within days, Felicia was with child. Ben was ecstatic at the possibility of a new horse. Although artificial insemination is not allowed in certain thoroughbreds under certain Jocky club rules, Felicia wasn’t a racehorse, so it was fine since the process has a higher success rate.
