A Rapidly Deteriorating Condition
All the plans and arrangements had been made for Felicia’s delivery, but she didn’t seem to get any better. She was barely moving after a prolonged period of restlessness. Ben had to immediately call the vet because his precious Felicia wasn’t looking so good at the moment. It was even more difficult because of the expected foal.
The horse became more aggressive, and it was difficult for Ben to follow the doctor’s instructions as regards how he could help Felicia. Aggression in mares might be rare but not uncommon. It could be due to the hormones produced or the presence of androgens.
