Can You Count the Hands?
In the province of Hunan, China, a colossal Buddhist statue of the Guishan Guanyin of the Thousand Hands and Eyes was erected to honor one of the country’s most popular deities. But these talented dancers have found another way to pay tribute to the multi-handed mythical figure: a well-coordinated dance routine.
It’s called the Thousand Hands Guan Yin and makes for an impressive spectacle. These talented dancers move with a clockwork-like precision, and the result makes for a visual illusion that allows the group of performers to momentarily look like one single entity.
