BASE Jumping Madness
Relax, these guys are not crazy. Well, at least not totally crazy… They’re two professional BASE jumpers by the name of Matt Blank and Ian Flanders. BASE jumping consists of jumping from a fixed location with a parachute and differs from skydiving due to the selected jumping areas’ low altitude.
BASE jumping is considered one of the most dangerous extreme sports globally, and these two buddies are certainly aware of it… Sadly, Flanders passed away in 2015 in a parachute-related accident while filming a documentary in Turkey. That year, Blank shared an emotional online video to honor his late BASE jumping companion.
