Breaking the Ice
If you think standing on top of some ice blades is hard enough, imagine how tough it must be to do so at supersonic speed! To us, it would be impossible. But to the men in the picture, it’s an everyday habit. This impressive snap seems to accurately register the skaters’ uncanny speed and was taken during the 2015 ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Erfurt, Germany.
Speed skating is an impressive sport that deserves to get a lot more attention. In this particular 2015 event, the winner was the Dutch skater/Olympic gold-medalist, Jorrit Bergsma.
