Karate on Ice? No, Just Another Ice Hockey Feud!
The poor ice hockey referees never have it easy. Ice hockey players are notorious for their short temperament and prowess to violence, but this scuffle is on a whole other level. The Columbus Blue Jackets’ athlete Corey Tropp lost his head on the ice rink and decided to put his karate skills to the test.
His “victim?” A baffled Michael Ferland, here playing for the Calgary Flames. Fortunately, the action-movie-inspired feud lasted for only a short moment before peace on the rink was restored. But before the referee’s intervention, a sports photographer was able to take note of the fight with this well-timed pic.
