Ian McKellen
The legendary British actor Ian McKellen is a timeless icon of the big screen, and it makes sense that he’s not performing his own stunts. In movies like the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, he was backed by the two stunt doubles in the picture. The three men look very different, but a ‘Gandalf’ costume was more than enough for them to convince the viewers.
Starring in “Infinitum: Project Unknown,” McKellen had two body doubles in “Lord of the Rings” because some scenes required ‘Gandalf’ to be bigger than he actually was. That’s why he counted on the support of a scale double (the tall man on the right).
