Pug – Sociable, Loving, And Comical
Pugs were bred by the Chinese as lapdogs during the Song Dynasty from 960–1279. In later years, the Netherlands favored them, with the Pug becoming the House of Orange’s official dog. Today, this fun-loving breed, who thrives in small spaces like apartments, is one of the most popular choices for a happy-go-lucky friend.
Pug puppies are sold for between $1,000 and $1,500 each. They need a lot of attention and constant company, making for excellent watchdogs due to their yapping. Potential Pug owners should keep in mind that they can be tricky to housebreak. Pugs don’t do well with heat, and they’re prone to eye injuries.
