Gerald Harper, 90

Gerald Harper developed an interest in acting while in school, despite his desire to be a doctor. After completing his mandatory government service, he went to the London Arts Theatre and the Liverpool Playhouse before appearing in Charley’s Aunt with Frankie Howerd. In the ’70s, he even hosted Capital Radio’s The Sunday Affair.

Harper starred as James Hadleigh in Hadleigh, an ITV series that lasted from 1969 to 1976 and was a successor to Gazette. This series had a mind-boggling 17 million viewers at its peak! Today, Harper is already 90 years old.
