In the list of our unfortunate events of life, an encounter with the sickening household pests is quite likely to be listed down already. Bugs tiptoe their way into the house one way or another, be it through your plants or because of your untidiness.

This is why knowing about them can be a lifesaver. One of the most irritating of these bugs are bed bugs. It can be quite exhausting to get rid of bed bugs once they swarm your house, so to clear them out, one must know their causes and preventions.

Causes Behind Bed Bugs Invading Your Space

These pests are scientifically called Cimex lectularius, they are six-legged insects that prey on living organisms – belonging to the kingdom of Animalia – consuming their blood, after the sun goes down and everyone is dozing.

The reason behind your house getting infested is not necessarily your sloppy behavior towards cleanliness. Even the tidiest places can be found with a Cimex lectularius. As per biologist Ben Hottel, there is a high possibility of a bug crawling its way into your room via luggage or school backpacks – basically, soft surfaces which can be gripped easily. So if you’re a cleanaholic, relax before blaming yourself.

Tested Suggestions To Get Them Out Of Your Sight

Catching these millimeter-sized uninvited bugs is not very easy due to their size and speed, so if you are having trouble getting rid of them, here are some ways you can try out:

-Vera Peterson, a member of Molly Maid, says that one of the most practiced ways is to use a vacuum, go on hoovering every corner of your bed, sofa, underneath, and wherever you can reach. The next thing is to empty your cleaner in a remote area immediately.

-Another way preferred by an ontologist is to use heat. He advises throwing your clothes into the dryer for half an hour or more to kill the bugs if there are any.

-Moreover, a home remedy is to use carom seeds- Ajwain- all you need to do is spread the seeds in the corner of your bed, headboards, and furniture. The odor of these seeds is what finishes them.

-Lastly, the easiest yet costly step is to contact a pest control center to help you out. This might be expensive but it is the most reliable way.

A clear sign to make sure that your house has been invaded by these pests are red swollen marks on your body. They are close to mosquito bites but are a bit more intense. Secondly, seeing black dots on the sides of your furniture isn’t a sign of dirt, but they are the eggs laid by them, hence why it is essential to keep your eyes wide open, especially after a picnic.
