The Queen Adds A Personal Touch To Her Christmas Cards
Despite writing about 800 Christmas cards, Queen Elizabeth still finds a way to add a personal touch to some of them. She signs with her nickname “Lilibet” for the ones she sends out to her cousins and a simple “Elizabeth” for friends.
Meanwhile, politicians can expect to receive a note signed “Elizabeth R” from Her Majesty. The letter R stands for the Latin word Regina, which means queen. And to get a head start on what we imagine is a long, arduous task, she begins penning her cards in the summer.
