The Queens’s Favorite Kind Of Sweets Aren’t Sweet At All
According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, Queen Elizabeth is fond of eating chocolate. And unlike with garlic, she’d approve just about any dish that features it as an ingredient. Her Majesty has a particular kind she likes, preferring darker and bitter blends over white or milk chocolate.
McGrady also shared that the queen loves snacking on Bendicks Bittermints. No wonder its maker holds a royal warrant! The chocolate more than meets her criteria, having a 95% cocoa content. To make it more palatable, it is also infused with mint oil, hence its name.
