As is typical for many former professional sportspeople, they usually go into various external roles related to their sport when they retire. Some become coaches, others become commentators, and then some work as pundits or host TV shows. For Paul “Fatty” Vautin, all of the above was achieved.
After retiring from an impressive professional rugby league career, he moved into commentary and was signed to Nine Network as a commentator for rugby league games. He also hosted The Footy Show since 1994, although he was eventually axed from the show in 2017.
