Davina Smith’s journey to media stardom started after she landed a work experience gig at the Nine Network. This led to a job as a reporter with WIN News, a subsidiary of Nine. While she worked primarily as a reporter back then, she also occasionally relieved regular weather presenter Peter Byrne.
After the 2011 Choppergate scandal, Smith was moved to Nine Network’s Brisbane operation. This is where she got her first taste of being the main presenter. In 2014, her skills took her to Syndey, where she filled in for Amelia Adams, who was then on maternity leave. She now presents Nine Network’s Morning News and Afternoon News.
