Laura Margaret Tingle – Undisclosed Annual Salary
Laura Tingle is one of Australia’s most prominent political journalists. She cut her teeth as a cadet journalist working for the Australian Financial Review at Fairfax Media. But it was after moving to The Australian in 1987 that she became a political journalist after being named a political correspondent.
Tingle returned to Fairfax to do the same job for The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald. Besides her work as a journalist, she has also published a book called Chasing the Future: Recession, Recovery and the New Politics in Australia. She currently imparts her excellence to ABC’s 7.30.
