Whatever It Takes

For the facts, we would have to remind ourselves that Woodstock ’69 was attended by much or less five hundred thousand people. With such a huge crowd, we can only imagine the trouble in sighting performance before their very eyes. The people knew they had to make the most out of the experience, and if that meant climbing a wall railing, they courageously did so.

These towers weren’t made for climbing and were not designed to hold weight. With the dozens of people balancing themselves, expecting a collapse would be more realistic. However, these audiences embodied the very essence of what the festival was all about: music, freedom, and unity.
