The son of English actor David Niven, he chose a more behind-the-scenes approach working as a producer and scriptwriter. At one point, he was an executive both Paramount Pictures and held a similar position at Columbia Pictures.
Some of the more notable films he has produced include The Night They Saved Christmas, The Cool Surface, and The Girl With Hungry Eyes. He did try his hand at acting, with a memorable role in Rush Hour 3. His last notable project was 2009’s documentary To Oz! The Making of a Classic.
