Chris Tarrant, 74
English broadcaster Chris Tarrant has been associated with three TV and radio shows, each of them for several years at a stretch. He first gained fame for his presentation of the children’s TV show Tiswas, which ran from 1974 to 1981. Given his popularity, Tarrant became the face of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, a show that gained international acclaim. He was also the host of Captain Radio from 1984 to 2004.
Apart from an astounding professional career, Tarrant is intensely involved in charitable activities, especially for disadvantaged children. He received an OBE for his contributions in this field of work.
