Michael Kors and Lance LePere
The year 2011 was groundbreaking for the LGBTQ+ community when New York passed gay marriage legislation, and Michael Kors made it known he wasted no time celebrating the victory. It was then that the famous fashion designer tied the knot with his long-term partner, Lance LePere.
The two certainly have a classic meet-cute story that all romantics can get behind; LePere began as an intern in Kors’ company in 1990. It was love at first sight for the “Project Runway” judge, telling WWD he was inspired to marry his beau “barefoot on a glorious beach.” Southampton Mayor Mark Epley wedded the pair.
