Billy Porter and Adam Smith have an incredible love story that started in 2009. At a dinner party in a restaurant in New York City, the “Pose” star spotted Smith and made it his mission to sit next to him. After dating for a year or so, they decided to go their separate ways. But on Smith’s birthday in 2015, Porter held the entrepreneur/designer’s hand while seeing a musical show together.
Their romantic relationship was rekindled, and they got engaged in December 2016. Weeks later, they got married at a friend’s Chelsea penthouse. Porter told Playbill.com they wanted to get hitched before President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2017.
