Zoolander (2001)
Ben Stiller’s memorable comedy Zoolander was banned in two different countries for two completely different reasons. While the Malaysian officials deemed the film unsuitable for local viewing due to its negative portrayal of the Asia Pacific nation, Iran dropped the banhammer on the 2001 film due to its alleged support of gay rights.
Although some might consider Zoolander as a typical forgettable comedy, others would argue that it has since become a staple of pop culture. With the comedy spoof poking fun at the male fashion industry, given its outlandish outfits, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson’s on-screen chemistry definitely makes for an entertaining viewership experience.
