When it came to Claire Danes’ comments about her experience of working in Manila, the Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines actress’ unflattering response definitely caused the country’s authorities to get hot under the collar. As a result, the Philippines passed a motion to ban Danes and any products related to her in Manila.
In an interview with Premiere magazine, Danes had an oops moment when the Homeland star got candid about her time in the Southeast Asia island country, describing it as a place that smelled like cockroaches. Although she later issued an official apology, sadly, it wasn’t enough to woo back the support of the Filipino community.
