Goldfinger (1964)
You’d have to be pretty bonkers in the ’60s to ban one of the biggest movies of the decade. For Goldfinger, the third installment of the Bond saga, this was precisely the case. Although the ban was eventually lifted, the announcement made headlines nonetheless.
For Sean Connery’s third outing as the iconic British spy, the film featured the role of Gert Fröbe, a supporting actor who had a Nazi past. For this reason, after six weeks of playing at the local theaters, the film was suddenly banned in Israel, only to be unbanned a few years later.
