Argo (2012)

After raising concerns over the film’s representation of the 1979 hostage crisis in Tehran, Ben Affleck’s 2012 drama Argo was banned in Iran. Going on to win three Academy Awards and two Golden Globes, the film is the depiction of real-life events in Iran during the late ’70s.
