There are a lot of fascinating facts about Ecuador. Its name translates into equator in English, and this is literally because the equator runs through it. It is also famous for having a point where someone can stand and be in the northern and southern Hemispheres at the same time.

In modern times the country has also developed some pretty famous footballers. These include former Manchester United player Antonio Valencia and his compatriot and namesake Enner Valencia, who played for West Ham United. Their best finish in the World Cup was reaching the second round in 2002, and these two beauties were in attendance.
