A Group Effort

Russell’s idea to combat porch pirates had caught the attention of many who shared his frustration. He appreciated the enthusiasm but made sure to caution that any attempts to create booby traps must be approached with caution. Especially as improperly constructed traps could result in injury or even death.

Russell also posted a couple “No Trespassing” signs and warnings on his property to further discourage would-be thieves. He advised others to do the same and to be mindful of the potential risks. And even though his bang box had proven to not be a foolproof plan, he still let it remain in place as a deterrent.
