Safe And Sound On The Carpathia
Fortunately, the survivors of the Titanic were received warmly by the passengers of the Carpathia. The latter even gave some of their beds and clothing to their unlucky fellow travelers who were left shell-shocked by the harrowing experience they just went through.
Once everyone was settled in, the Carpathia made its way to New York City. It would arrive at the Big Apple on the evening of April 18, 1912, where it was welcomed by a crowd of people that numbered around 30,000. By that time, newspapers from the UK and the US have already reported the Titanic’s sinking.
