Remnants Of The Great Ship
While the Titanic was lost to the ocean, its lifeboats survived the shipwreck and were reportedly used on the White Star Line’s other ships. But before that happened, the boats were picked clean of their identifying plates by souvenir hunters. That said, it’s believed none of the 20 vessels exist today.
On the brighter side, the tragedy did result in some positive changes. For starters, the tragic sinking led to the implementation of a policy expecting passenger liners to have enough lifeboats to accommodate everyone aboard in case of emergencies.
