Terrence McNally – COVID-19 Complications
Multiple Tony Award -winner Terrence McNally was known for dramatizing the life of gay men. He was at the helm of close to 50 musicals, many of which received critical acclaim. Some of his best works include Love! Valour!, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Ragtime, and Master Class.
However, at 81, McNally succumbed to complications from the dreaded coronavirus in March 2020. He did survive lung cancer decades ago but still struggled with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which, as per the CDC, may include symptoms like difficulty in breathing. It is an umbrella term that may refer to chronic bronchitis or emphysema, among others.
