John Shrapnel – Cancer
Actor John Shrapnel was a highly celebrated personality in both TV, film, and theater. He is notable for playing Julia Roberts’ publicist in the classic romantic film Notting Hill and his roles in Gladiator and 101 Dalmatians. He also did tremendous work voicing characters in Foyle’s War and Waking the Dead.
Shrapnel, who last appeared in King Charles III as the Archbishop of Canterbury, passed away on Valentine’s Day in 2020 after a long fight against cancer. Posthumously, his fans have seen him again in the 2021 short titled The Ghost Within, in which he played Claudius.
