Barbara Windsor – Alzheimer’s Complications
Standing at four feet, 10 inches, Barbara Windsor was one of the most personality-packed celebrities in the United Kingdom. Her outgoing and fun demeanor, however, was not a reflection of her difficult teenage years. Nonetheless, the actress, known for playing Peggy in the soap EastEnders from 2004 to 2016 and for her work in Carry On, was heavily open about her experiences.
Unfortunately, Windsor peacefully died at 83 in her sleep in December 2020 while battling Alzheimer’s disease. Her larger-than-life story was told in a 2017 biopic titled Babs, which was aired exactly on her 80th birthday.
