Derek Fowlds – Pneumonia

Although millions know him for his work in Yes Minister and as Mr. Derek in Basil Brush, actor Derek Fowlds remained kind toward others. Unfortunately, he was the last of the original cast of the satirical sitcom. His assistant said there was nobody nicer than him, and he had never said anything bad about other people.

Besides others from celebrities, such words poured in after Fowlds death in January 2020 following his bout with pneumonia. The 82-year-old started his career in theater in the production of The Miracle Worker after training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
