Dave Rainford – Heart Disease

BBC show Eggheads’ resident quizzer Dave Rainford used to earn money by cleaning quiz machines in North England but was also banned later on from using the gadgets. Then, he became famous for taking home $250K from Who Wants to be a Millionaire before he joined the cast of the quiz program. 

Rainford earned the moniker Tremendous Knowledge during his time with Piccadilly Radio in Manchester. However, his fans became worried because of his prolonged absence from the show, which was because of heart disease. In March 2020, host Jeremy Vine announced his 51-year-old pal’s passing and paid tribute.
