An Icy Highlight

You might think that Antarctica is a big, flat sheet of ice, but you would be wrong. In fact, this icy continent has many geographical features that either rank right up there with or outshine those of other places.

Take, for example, Vinson Massif, which is the highest point in the Antarctic. It stands tall at a magnificent sixteen thousand feet, which is just over half the length of the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Not too shabby a peak, we reckon! We do wonder if it’s difficult to climb.
