A Majestic Divide

Like every other country or continent in the world, Antarctica has physical features that act as borders between one area and the other. The Transantarctic Mountains divide the space into two, the East and the West, for the icy continent.

With a length of 3,500 kilometers (2,175 miles), the ranges are among the longest on Earth. We have no idea whether people have managed to do some hiking there, but we can be sure it won’t be easy, given the chilly, windy harsh weather found in the isolated part of the planet.
