Antarctica Is Fatally Cold
The fact may make you go, duh, but the severity of coldness is something not many people know. In the winters, the temperature drops to -60°C (-76°F) and in summers, it stays somewhere around -30°C (-22°F), not your average temperature to get a suntan in, is it? The region has a deep freeze running 24*7, and the lowest temperature recorded in the history was – 89.6°C (-129°F)at Vostok Station!
While small groups of adventurers do visit the continent, they do so in proper gear because a minute outside protective clothes can lead to devastating frostbite!
