Compared to the life they described while they were in the United Kingdom, the Sussexes are living a better one in the United States. However, it wasn’t always that way since life away from The Firm was tough at first. At one point, the couple was left scrambling for a place to go when they realized the Canadian borders were closing in 2020.
Their mad dash to California was made possible by billionaire filmmaker Tyler Perry. Not only did he help them with their security needs, but he also let them stay over in his massive Los Angeles mansion. The couple has since bought a $14.65 million property in Montecito.
