Regis Philbin, 88, 1931-2020
Regis Philbin quickly gained the reputation of being a workaholic, and after clocking the world record for the highest hours on US television, it only proved that his work ethic was unparalleled. The beloved presenter debuted and caught the world’s eye with ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,’ and he then went on to host ‘America’s Got Talent,’ and his very own talk show ‘Live! With Regis’ co-anchored by Kathy Lee Gifford, who was later replaced by Kelly Ripa.
Unfortunately, the world had to bid adieu to Philbin due to a sudden heart attack in 2020, and the television icon has certainly left behind countless adoring fans and loving memories.
