Tony Burton, 78, 1937-2016
We last saw the legendary Tony Burton in the fifth installment of the massively successful ‘Rocky’ franchise. Fans loved seeing him and were gunning for his involvement in the sixth sequel as well, but his severe health conditions prevented that dream from turning into a reality. In 2017, the actor left us after enjoying a thoroughly adventure-filled Hollywood career.
It’s a no-brainer that Burton was destined for success because he started emitting signs of excellence early on. Even when the star was young, he was an accomplished heavyweight boxing champion and a star footballer to boot!
