Geronimo
In the 19th-century conflict, Geronimo was a notable Apache leader and medicine man who fought against the forces of the American and Mexican empires. His tactical skills and bravery played a significant role in the defeat of powerful military units. He became well-known for his military prowess and leadership in raiding and warfare, even though he was not a chief of the Bedonkohe band but a shaman.
After three attempts to surrender, Geronimo was eventually imprisoned in the United States. Because of his notoriety, he was exhibited at various fairs and exhibitions and eventually died at the Fort Sill hospital in 1909 as a prisoner of war.
